The “Medical Systems” group of our “Medtech” Business Unit, based in Bern, Switzerland is looking for a Biomedical Project Manager/System Engineer.

Your mission

You are a top-quality system engineer who can lead projects involving hardware, firmware, software, mechanical and algorithms development. You are inspired to work in an environment that has the potential to make a massive impact on startups and large organizations in the medical device industry. Your mission will be to manage research and industrial projects for digital health monitoring and medical devices.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage research and industrial projects for the development of digital health systems such as smartwatches, wearable devices, patient monitoring solutions, or medical devices.
  • Discussion with customers to understand their demand and help them formalize the requirements to define the system to be developed.
  • Act as a system engineer and lead the technical development.
  • Contribute to the development and project acquisition of the digital health activities.

Place of work will be mostly Bern and occasionally Neuchâtel.

Your profile

Know-how

  • Superior level of education (BSc or MSc) in Engineering.
  • Strong experience in project management and practiced on multiple projects for research and/or industrial applications.
  • Proven experience in the design of systems including electronics, embedded firmware, software and algorithms.
  • Experience with medical development is a plus (ISO 13485, IEC 60601-1, IEC 62304).
  • Experience in acquisition of research and/or industrial projects is a plus.
  • You are fluent in English, French and/or German is required, knowledge of the other language would be a plus.

  • Strong communication skills: ability to communicate with a diverse community of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
