The “Battery Systems” group of our “Sustainable Energy” Business Unit based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is currently looking for a Battery Expert.

 

Your mission

Your mission is to to oversee the technical developments around our zBMS platform, which encompasses the hard- and software components that exploit electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in battery management systems. Based on your knowledge on battery systems, you define technical objectives for the group and follow-up on the progress and potential issues together with the entire battery team.

You define the key technical requirements and objectives that are put forward by our customers or our own innovation roadmap. You derive quantified objectives and associated implementation tasks, which you put forward to the different technical teams. You follow-up on the progress of these teams via your leadership experience and you also support the teams to solve technical issues or client related requests and concerns via your proven scientific and technical background. You also support our acquisition activities via the clear presentation of technical achievements.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the definition and achievement of technical.
  • Address potential technical, resources, budget, planning or customer issues.
  • Report the key results in a clear and concise manner, both internally and externally.
  • Continuously keep aware of the state of the art and identify market demands and drivers.
  • Proactively propose innovative solutions to enhance operations in the activity and solve complex problems.
  • Provide the project team members as well as a broad range of internal and external partners with a clear leadership and an efficient and respectful communication including in challenging situations.
  • Act as an ambassador towards our external partners and develop internal and external professional network.
  • Maintain and develop good relationships with our external partners: lead customers meetings, sell results, ideas, products in a convincing way and actively influence our customers’ decision making. Capture unexpected business opportunities and promote our technologies portfolio.
  • Actively work on projects acquisition and proposals writing.

 

Your profile

Know-how

  • MSc/PhD in Engineering and at least 5 years of practical experience
  • Track record in battery technology development at industrial level
  • Knowledge of Lithium-ion battery technologies with know-how of EIS and other diagnosis techniques
  • Proven experience in project management for hard- and software developments
  • Knowledge and experience on BMS standard (e.g. ISO26262)
  • Professional proficiency in English (oral and written)
