The “AI & Vision Systems” group of our “Integrated & Wireless Systems” Business Unit based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is currently looking for an intern in Spectral imaging & computer vision.
Context of the position :
This master’s is to help further our work on intelligent vision system. Specifically, in this work the aim is to use machine learning and computer vision and spectral imaging techniques to enable chemical imaging in different type of application precision farming, agriculture technology and industrial environment.
Your Mission
The mission of this internship is to foster the development of skilled professionals in the field of computer vision with a specific focus on agricultural and environmental applications. We aim to equip interns with the knowledge and tools necessary to contribute effectively to the advancement of plant phenotyping techniques using spectral imaging. The candidate is expected to present their results at the end of the project, which will last a minimum of 6 months.
Your profile :
Know-how
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with computer vision and image processing techniques.
- experience with deep learning platforms (e.g. Tensorflow and PyTorch)
- Experience with or a strong interest in learning about spectral imaging (multi-spectral and hyperspectral).
- Experience with or a strong interest in plant science and agriculture.
- Experience in remote sensing is a plus
- familiar with signal processing: missing data, filtering, etc
Interpersonal skills
- a good team player ready to tackle technical challenges
- experience with vital-signs monitoring algorithms is a plus.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to independently drive projects.
- Capability to autonomously learn new technologies and apply them creatively
