Your mission 

The mission of the Project Manager & Software developer is to manage multidisciplinary R&D projects in the photovoltaic field, with a focus on software developments and analytics.

 

Your responsibilities 

Research and technology: 

• Software development

• Design, develop and maintain software code for PV analytics and for the internal database
• Design, implement and manage data acquisition pipelines, using commercially available solutions when appropriate 
• Provide expert advice on PV analytics to colleagues and partners
• Identify opportunities for innovation

• Next generation module and system developments

• Develop, manufacture, characterize with advanced technics, test with accelerated aging schemes and understand potential degradation mechanisms of innovative module and system solutions
• Develop and optimize the outdoor testing capabilities of CSEM
• Support industrialization with customers 

Communication and outreach :

• Communicate results through project presentations, conference presentations, papers and reports

 

Your profile

Know-how

• Proven experience in Electrochemical storage systems and associated modelling approaches
• MSc or PhD in physics, electrical engineering, applied mathematics or equivalent with three years of R&D or consulting experience
• Strong understanding of the physics and characterization of photovoltaic systems (solar cells, modules and systems)
• Knowledge of the photovoltaic value chain
• Experience in industry a plus
• Ability to formulate verifiable objectives and hypotheses
• Good writing skills in English
• Good presentation and visualization skills
• Fluency in English and willingness to learn French. Knowledge of additional Swiss languages is advantageous
• Advanced programming capabilities in Python and experience with Matlab;
• Other programming languages are advantageous
• Experience with database management

• Ability to communicate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to define and take responsibility for one’s contribution in a team
• Good listening skills
