The “Quantum Tech” group of our “Instrumentation” Business Unit, based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland is looking for a business-savvy, inspiring and communicative Post-Doctoral position in Quantum Technologies.

Duration : 3 years 

Your mission

As part of a R&D team, you will contribute to develop quantum sensors and, in particular, a gyroscopes based on Nitrogen-Vacancy centers in diamond.

 

Your responsibilities

Your main responsibilities are :

• Technical execution of R&D projects including laboratory work, design, numerical simulations and analysis in the field of quantum sensors and, in particular, on NV centers gyroscopes;
• Continuously keep aware of the state of the art in the field of quantum sensors;
• Represent CSEM at workshops and conferences as well as contribute to dissemination of results via peer-reviewed publications in scientific and technical journals;
• Maintain and develop good relationships with our partners and participate in customer meetings, maintain and develop internal and external professional networks.

 

Your profile

Know-how

• PhD degree in Physics, Engineering or other relevant disciplines
• Technical knowledge in the following domains:
  • Quantum atomic sensors
  • Laser stabilization and optical spectroscopy
  • System development: design, integration and testing
  • Numerical simulations (e.g. using PYTHON, MATLAB or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of CAD software (e.g. Solidworks) is considered as an asset
• Excellent oral/written communications skills in English (French is a plus)
