The “Precision Mechanisms” group of our “Instrumentation” Business Unit based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland is looking for a business-savvy, inspiring and communicative Group Leader.

 

Your mission

The “Precision Mechanisms” group plays a major role in providing advanced solutions to the industrial sectors of Watchmaking, Aerospace and Astrophysics.

Thanks to your strong management experience and as member of the Business Unit management team, you will lead your group toward technical excellence, client centricity, continuous and sustainable growth.

 

Your responsibilities

• Develop CSEM activities related to Precision Mechanisms for Instrumentation
• Lead the technical activities of the group towards excellence by breaking current frontiers
• Be responsible of the group financial performance and projects portfolio
• Decisively contribute to the technology roadmap and project acquisition
• Identify and propose multidisciplinary solutions to strengthen our technology portfolio
• Manage your team by defining team member’s annual objectives and appraisals, training needs, and providing support and guidance
• Promote interactions and collaborations with industrial customers and research partners
• As company ambassador represent CSEM at events, workshops and conferences

Your profile

Know-how

 You are an expert with strong management skills, holding an engineering degree in Mechanics or Microengineering with a proven track-record in the following fields:

• Development of complex and multidisciplinary optomechanical systems targeting the domains of space, astrophysics, scientific instrumentation and watchmaking
• Mechanical design of flexure-based high precision mechanisms with sensors and actuators
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including Additive Manufacturing and Silicon Microfabrication
• Knowledge of space project standards is an advantage
• Successful development and technology transfer into products or industrial applications
