The Additive Manufacturing group of our Micro and Nano Systems Business Unit, based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland is looking for a Laboratory Technician in additive Manufacturing.

 

Your mission

As a laboratory technician in additive manufacturing, your mission is to provide technical support to innovative research and development projects in the field of additive manufacturing. In this role, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the work.

 

Your responsabilities

  • Operation of state-of-the-art commercial and custom made 3D printers for polymers, metals, and ceramics.
  • Carrying out of various post-processing steps, from cleaning parts with solvents to thermal treatments in high temperature furnaces.
  • Maintenance of equipment as well as laboratory processes and protocols.
  • Participation in multidisciplinary projects and activities

 

Your profile

Know-how

  • Experience with the operation of complex machinery.
  • Understanding the basics of additive manufacturing processes or willing to learn.
  • Understanding the basics of CAD design and file preparation for additive manufacturing or willing to learn.
  • Fluency in French or English, and knowledge of the second language.
  • Hands-on mindset for the solving of technical problems.
  • Independent in work organization and a team player.

  • Ability to quickly grasp and implement new concepts and principles across multiple disciplines
  • Organized, rigorous, accurate and precise work according to specification and timelines
  • Multitasker able to work on several projects that are carried out in parallel.
